About CFLS

WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

Crossfit is an intense workout regime, unique in its universal scalability and constant variability.  We focus on honing the body with an ever-changing combination of Olympic lifts, gymnastics, power lifting, strongman, plyometrics and running.  Whether you are an 80 year-old Grammie or a 20 year-old collegiate athlete, a police officer or a stay-at-home dad, Crossfit is the tool anyone can use to better themselves, body and mind.  Crossfit was established in 2007 by Greg Glassman and has since exploded, growing from 1 gym to 3,000 affiliates world-wide.

ABOUT CROSSFIT LEE’S SUMMIT

Here at CFLS, we do all of our own programming, meticulously planned by Aaron, our head coach.  We post the workouts daily @ 6 pm on the SugarWod app.  We train many active military, fire-fighters and police officers as well as collegiate athletes and many current and retired professional athletes.  We have an incredible female athlete community, each one proving daily that strong is sexy.   We at CFLS pride ourselves on community, and we think of  every one of our athletes as our family.  We aren’t just a gym, but also a social outlet, and as such, we  plan a wide range of get-togethers, team builders and fundraisers so we can work hard, and play hard! (COVID has temporarily interrupted that extra fun, but fingers crossed we will be back to social gatherings SOON!) We sweat, cry, laugh and fight for our goals together.  We also offer nutritional support in the form of knowledgeable coaches and nutrition challenges several times a year.  We have seminars educating athletes on how to eat healthy, leaning heavily on the concepts of the Paleo/Vegan Paleo (Pegan) Diet.

WHAT IS A WOD?

It is the workout of the day.  It will be posted on our website daily.
